
Ghanaian actress and filmmaker Kafui Danku-Pitcher has been named the Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority (NFA). With a background in creative arts, tourism, and economic development, she brings a wealth of experience to the role.
Kafui holds a BA in English and Classics from the University of Cape Coast and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the University of Ghana. She has been active in the film industry since 2008 and has served as an executive producer at ABC Pictures Limited since 2013.
Beyond filmmaking, she has worked with the UNHCR, demonstrating her ability in governance, leadership, and social activism. She has been recognized for her advocacy against child marriage and malnutrition through her initiative, Silence Is Not Golden.
Her leadership at the NFA is expected to drive growth in Ghana’s film industry, foster partnerships, and enhance the creative sector’s contribution to the national economy.
