American Rapper Sues Lyft for Alleged Weight Discrimination.

American rapper Dajua Blanding, known as Dank DeMoss, has filed a lawsuit against ride-hailing company Lyft, claiming she was denied service due to her size. The incident, which she recorded and shared on TikTok, left her feeling humiliated.

Blanding, who weighs 489 pounds, stated that she had previously ridden in similar cars without issues and believes the driver discriminated against her solely because of her weight. Her legal team argues that the driver’s actions violate Michigan’s anti-discrimination laws, which protect individuals from bias based on weight.

In response, Lyft issued a statement affirming its commitment to inclusivity, stating that its policies strictly prohibit any form of discrimination or harassment.

The lawsuit has sparked discussions about weight bias in the transportation industry and whether ride-hailing companies should do more to enforce anti-discrimination policies.
