In a timely gesture ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir (Eid-ul-Adha) celebrations, Zamfara State Governor Dr. Dauda Lawal has approved the payment of a Sallah bonus for all civil servants and pensioners in the state.
The announcement brings early festive joy to workers and retirees, reflecting the governor’s ongoing commitment to improving the livelihoods of citizens during this sacred Islamic period marked by prayer, sacrifice, and compassion .
A Welcome Relief Ahead of Sallah
According to a statement released on Tuesday by the Zamfara State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Mahmoud Muhammad Dantawasa , the bonus was designed to ease the financial burden on households and enable families across the state to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir 2025 with dignity and joy.
This move underscores the administration’s consistent efforts to prioritize the well-being of its citizens, especially during significant religious and cultural milestones.
Governor Lawal Sends Warm Greetings from Hajj
Currently on Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia , Governor Lawal extended warm wishes to all residents of Zamfara, urging them to celebrate responsibly and remain united in prayers for the state’s continued peace and development.
“I am deeply grateful to Almighty Allah for granting us the opportunity to witness yet another Eid,” he said in a special message. “As we celebrate, I urge us all to reflect on the essence of this season — unity, sacrifice, and compassion.”
He further encouraged citizens to continue praying for Zamfara State and the entire Nigerian nation , emphasizing that collective effort is essential for building a better future for all.
“Together, we can build a better future for ourselves and generations to come,” Lawal added.
