Accra Sports Stadium Closed for Football Activities Pending Structural Audit

The National Sports Authority (NSA) has announced that the Accra Sports Stadium will remain closed for domestic football matches until a structural audit is completed. In a statement released on April 2, 2025, the NSA clarified that despite requests from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to use the facility, they cannot grant approval due to ongoing safety evaluations.The NSA received a formal request from the GFA on March 28, 2025, but due to logistical challenges and the necessary preparations for hosting football matches, it was deemed impractical to host games at the stadium at this time.
