C-WASH Provides Solar-Powered Water Solutions to Upper East Schools Facing Water Shortages.

The Centre for Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (C-WASH) has donated solar-powered water systems to Saint John’s Integrated Senior High School and Azeem Namoa Senior High Technical School in the Upper East Region to tackle severe water shortages. Funded by Swiss partners, the systems include 10,000-liter storage tanks, benefiting over 2,300 students and staff. This initiative, part of the WASH in Senior High Schools program, aims to improve access to clean water, promote sanitation, and reduce open defecation. School leaders expressed gratitude, highlighting the positive impact on student well-being and academics.
