Residents of the Manhyia South constituency have been given a new lease on life through a free cataract surgery initiative organized by the local health authorities. Hundreds of individuals, many of whom had been suffering from blurred vision or complete sight loss due to cataracts, underwent the life-changing procedure. The event aimed to reduce the growing number of untreated eye conditions in the area and to enhance the quality of life for those affected.The surgeries were carried out by a team of ophthalmologists and healthcare workers from the Manhyia Government Hospital, supported by local NGOs and international partners focused on combating preventable blindness.
