Minister Condemns Vandalism of Key Bridge in Oti Region, Urges Community Action.

The Roads and Highways Minister, Francis Asenso-Boakye, has voiced concern over the vandalism of a metal bridge over the River Dikyebu in the Oti Region. The bridge, which connects eight farming communities in Nkwanta Municipality, has been severely damaged, with bolts and nuts removed, rendering it unsafe for vehicles. Constructed in 2018, it was intended to improve accessibility, but its current state disrupts travel and threatens the movement of goods. During a visit to the area, Asenso-Boakye urged the local community to prevent further destruction and pledged government funds for repairs. He also discussed the completion of key road projects in the region.
