Faulty Trailer Smashes Into Food Container at Ash-Town.
A DAF trailer with registration number AS 5841-24, carrying goods, crashed into a container used as a food joint in Kumasi’s Ash-Town area on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Thankfully, no casualties were reported.The driver, Samuel Kojo Kyeremateng, lost control after the truck's roof panels broke while driving from Manhyia. Struggling to manage the vehicle on a hilly road near Nana Buabasa Junction, he collided with a Toyota Matrix and a container before ramming into an MTN pole.Eyewitnesses praised Kyeremateng’s quick thinking, as his shouts likely prevented a tragedy moments before the food vendor and two children left the container. The Assembly member, Mr. James Owusu Boakye, contacted authorities, including the police and fire service, after noticing fuel leakage, fearing a fire risk.The driver escaped unscathed.
