Mahama launches One Million Coders Program to equip Ghanaian youth with digital skills

At the official launch on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, President John Dramani Mahama unveiled a digital skills training initiative as a key component of his administration’s Reset Ghana agenda. The program aims to prepare Ghanaians for stronger participation in the global digital economy. “This is more than just a fulfilled campaign promise,” Mahama stated. “It is a strategic effort to build a knowledge-based economy—one that empowers our people to innovate, secure jobs, and compete on a global scale.” The initiative is designed to combat youth unemployment and unlock new avenues for innovation and entrepreneurship.
