Kotoka International Airport (KIA) in Accra experienced a power outage on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, following a heavy downpour. The power failure led to significant delays in both incoming and outgoing flights, with disruptions in check-in systems and security screenings.The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) explained that while the backup generators usually activate within seconds during such outages, an electrical system fault delayed their deployment.
