A 29-year-old Nigerian man, Joseph Chukumeka, narrowly escaped lynching at Kasoa after being caught stealing designer clothes—hangers included—and toilet rolls from residents' rooms.For weeks, locals had suffered unexplained thefts until Monday when suspicious noises led neighbors to discover Joseph inside a home with no signs of forced entry. It was later revealed that he had been using a master key to access the rooms.As enraged residents descended on him, he pleaded for mercy, blaming his actions on the devil. He was eventually handed over to the police for further investigation.
