EC to Reprint Volta and Ahafo Ballot Papers Over Serial Number Errors.
The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has announced the reprinting of ballot papers for the Volta and Ahafo regions after detecting serial number errors. These errors, which compromise the integrity of the papers, were discovered before distribution.The EC will destroy the faulty ballots in the presence of political party representatives, who will sign certificates to confirm the destruction. New printing houses, Bulk and Acts Commercials, have been commissioned to produce fresh ballot papers. This decision was communicated during an emergency Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on November 15, 2024.The EC assures that measures are in place to rectify the issues and maintain transparency ahead of the 2024 elections.
