NGOs Boost Menstrual Hygiene and Health Screening for Northern Ghana Communities.

Aboboyaa’ Rider Jailed 6 Months for Killing Two-Year-Old in Road Accident, Ordered to Pay GHS6,000 Compensation.

Kofi Gideon, a 20-year-old "Aboboyaa" (motor tricycle) rider, has been sentenced to six months in prison by the Bibiani District Court for causing the death of a two-year-old child in an accident. Gideon, who faced charges including dangerous and careless cycling, riding without a license, and using an unregistered vehicle, pleaded guilty to all charges.In addition to his sentence, the court ordered Gideon to pay GHS6,000 in compensation to the child’s mother, Mary Hagan. Although the sentences for each charge totaled several months, they will run concurrently.
