Aboboyaa’ Rider Jailed 6 Months for Killing Two-Year-Old in Road Accident, Ordered to Pay GHS6,000 Compensation.

Kofi Gideon, a 20-year-old "Aboboyaa" (motor tricycle) rider, has been sentenced to six months in prison by the Bibiani District Court for causing the death of a two-year-old child in an accident. Gideon, who faced charges including dangerous and careless cycling, riding without a license, and using an unregistered vehicle, pleaded guilty to all charges.In addition to his sentence, the court ordered Gideon to pay GHS6,000 in compensation to the child’s mother, Mary Hagan.
