John Abdulai Jinapor, Member of Parliament for Yapei Kusawgu, has accused the outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration of withholding critical information about fuel shortages from the incoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) team during the transition process. Jinapor, who was co-opted into the Energy and Natural Resources Subcommittee, claims the NPP failed to reveal the dire state of Ghana's fuel reserves until late December 2024, preventing early action.In an interview with Joy FM, Jinapor explained that the lack of transparency led to an emergency meeting, where the fuel shortage risks were identified just weeks before the handover.
