President Mahama Urges NDPC to Break Short-Term Development Planning Cycle

President John Dramani Mahama has called on the newly inaugurated National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) to shift Ghana's development strategy from short-term, politically influenced plans to a cohesive, long-term national development framework. This initiative aims to ensure sustainable growth and economic transformation beyond electoral cycles. Inauguration of the 8th NDPC On May 19, 2025, President Mahama inaugurated the eighth NDPC, a 37-member body chaired by economist Dr. Nii Moi Thompson.
