Appiah Calls for Greater Commitment from Black Stars Players.
Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah has urged players of Ghana’s national football team to show more dedication when representing the country. Recently, many Ghanaians have criticized the Black Stars for not exhibiting the same level of commitment they display when playing for their respective clubs, particularly following underwhelming performances in both the World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournaments.Speaking to Parliament’s Sports Select Committee, Appiah emphasized that playing for the national team is a privilege, one that should not be taken lightly.
