Osabarima Dr. Owusu Beyeeman, Chief of Akyem Muoso, has urged Ghanaians to uphold the sanctity of life and end bloodshed in the pursuit of power. Addressing a durbar marking his first anniversary as chief, he recounted how his town suffered from chieftaincy disputes, which nearly destroyed its unity.Dr. Beyeeman emphasized the need for peace, unity, and development, citing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Ghana’s laws that guarantee the right to life. He detailed the progress made during his reign, including improved education, community development, and the construction of a world-class police station to maintain peace.The chief, who had never planned to ascend to the throne, expressed gratitude for the support that has helped transform Akyem Muoso into a peaceful community. He reiterated that nations thrive only when peace prevails, urging all to prioritize harmony over power struggles.
