Damage to President Akufo-Addo’s Statue Sparks Concerns in Sekondi-Takoradi.

A hole has been spotted on the leg of President Akufo-Addo’s statue, situated in front of Effia-Nkwanta Hospital in Sekondi-Takoradi. The damage has raised suspicions, as some locals had earlier threatened to remove the statue. It’s unclear whether the damage was intentional or caused by structural flaws.

The statue, unveiled by President Akufo-Addo during his tour before the general elections, was erected to honor developmental projects initiated under his administration. These include the rehabilitation of Effia-Nkwanta Hospital, the Sinohydro interchange, and the redevelopment of Takoradi Market Circle.

Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, emphasized that the statue symbolizes progress in the region, making the damage even more concerning for residents.
