Chief Stylz, Stonebwoy’s manager, has denied claims made by DJ Lord that Stonebwoy’s team forced him to stop playing Shatta Wale’s songs at the recent Guinness Accravaganza concert. DJ Lord took to social media on April 1, 2025, stating that after playing multiple Shatta Wale tracks, an event official informed him that Stonebwoy’s team was displeased with the choice of music and requested he stop playing Wale’s songs.
DJ Lord expressed his frustration, calling the act “disrespectful and unprofessional,” given his longstanding career in the music industry. He highlighted that the crowd had responded positively to his set, which included songs by Shatta Wale, one of Ghana’s most influential artists.
However, Chief Stylz quickly responded to the accusations, stating that DJ Lord had misinterpreted the situation. He clarified that a representative from the event, not Stonebwoy’s team, had approached the DJ, suggesting that Stonebwoy’s management might not be happy with the music choice. Stylz questioned why DJ Lord would immediately blame Stonebwoy’s team without verifying the source.
Despite the clarification, DJ Lord stood by his account, insisting that the event organizer clearly communicated that Stonebwoy’s team was uncomfortable with the Shatta Wale tracks being played, and he was simply sharing what happened.
