‘Ambitious Tilapia’ Kamoko Hits London for Intense Boxing Boot Camp

Ghanaian rising boxing star Abubakar Kamoko, known as “Ambitious Tilapia,” has begun a one-month training camp in London to refine his skills. The 21-year-old son of boxing legend Braimah “Bukom Banku” Kamoko arrived last Wednesday and immediately started training at the Bronx Boxing Club in South East London.

Under the guidance of his manager, Sharaf Mahama, Kamoko is gaining exposure to world-class training facilities and sparring with elite fighters. His UK experience follows his successful transition into professional boxing last year, where he secured back-to-back knockout victories.

Kamoko expressed gratitude to his manager for the opportunity, acknowledging the high level of competition and the tough conditions he is facing. Despite the freezing weather and intense sparring sessions, he remains determined to return stronger and make Ghana proud.

He has also called on authorities to invest in better equipment for Ghanaian gyms, emphasizing the need for improved training facilities to support the country’s young boxing talents.
