Black Queens Newcomer Josephine Bonsu Confident Ahead of Morocco Friendly

German-born Ghanaian forward Josephine Kyerewaa Bonsu is excited about her first call-up to the Black Queens as they prepare to face Morocco in an international friendly on Friday. The winger, who recently joined the squad, expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm for the opportunity, highlighting the warm welcome she received from her teammates.

Bonsu believes Ghana has what it takes to make a strong impression at the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco later this year. Speaking to the media, she shared her confidence in the team’s preparations and the different qualities each player brings to the squad.

Meanwhile, new Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkorgren is focused on building a competitive team. The Swedish trainer, who recently signed a two-year deal, aims to instill a more aggressive playing style while maintaining Ghana’s signature flair. He emphasized the need for quicker attacks, intense pressing, and self-belief among the players.

The Black Queens are making a return to WAFCON for the first time since 2018, and the team is determined to make a statement.
