A 15-year-old girl and her boyfriend were arrested in the Central Region after allegedly stealing GH₵41,000 and gold from a gold shop in Twifo Praso. The two were apprehended following a tip-off in the Mfantseman Municipality. The girl, captured on CCTV, was seen taking advantage of the shop attendant’s brief absence on January 28, 2025, to steal the money and gold. She reportedly shared part of the stolen cash with her accomplices, including her boyfriend who received GH₵15,000. The police are still investigating and pursuing others involved in the theft.
