Kelvin Aboagye, the General Manager of Elmina Sharks, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service following an attack on a referee during a Division One match between Elmina Sharks and Swedru All Blacks on February 16, 2025, at the Nduom Sports Stadium in Elmina.
Aboagye, alongside other individuals, reportedly assaulted the referee and some supporters after the match. The police have confirmed that Aboagye is in custody and assisting with investigations. Efforts are underway to identify the remaining individuals involved in the assault.
