Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, CEO of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, has pledged to support the Buz Stop Boys, a youth-led voluntary group committed to improving sanitation in Ghana. Speaking at a company event in Accra, Dr. Agyepong promised to provide logistical assistance, including equipment, to help them continue their work.
This pledge follows previous support from Zoomlion in March 2024, which included a skip truck, tricycles, and shovels. The Buz Stop Boys, founded by Heneba Kojo Sarfo, have grown from five members to 40 and gained recognition for their dedication to keeping Ghana clean.
Despite the CEO’s promise, some netizens expressed skepticism about his motives, suggesting he might be trying to align with the government. Nevertheless, the Buz Stop Boys continue to receive widespread acclaim, including recognition from the National Youth Authority for their impact.
