Volta Aspirant Unveils Plan for Ghana’s Largest Shopping Mall

Dr. David Kofi Wuaku, a Council of State aspirant for the Volta Region, has announced an ambitious plan to build Ghana’s largest shopping mall, backed by Turkish investors. The project is part of a broader initiative aimed at boosting the country’s economy, creating millions of jobs, and enhancing retail and infrastructure development.

The Turkish investors recently visited Ghana for high-level discussions and feasibility studies. They engaged with key government officials, including the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Akatsi South MP, Bernard Ahiafor. The talks focused on strengthening economic ties between Ghana and Turkey, with an emphasis on job creation, infrastructure development, and technology transfer.

Dr. Wuaku revealed that the proposed shopping mall will feature modern retail outlets, entertainment centers, cinemas, food courts, coworking spaces, and eco-friendly designs. Beyond retail, the investors are also exploring opportunities in industrial development, real estate, agriculture, and renewable energy.

He stressed the need for more foreign direct investment (FDI) to drive Ghana’s economic growth and urged policymakers and entrepreneurs to position themselves to benefit from these initiatives. With feasibility studies already underway, he remains optimistic that these multi-million-dollar projects will soon become a reality, creating employment opportunities and boosting trade.
