Kumasi Faces Water Shortage Amid Power Cuts.

Residents in parts of the Greater Kumasi area are experiencing water shortages as taps run dry due to power fluctuations affecting water production. For the past three days, communities like Atonsu and Tafo have had to rely on alternative water sources, such as underground wells, for daily use. Officials from Ghana Water Limited confirmed there is no water scarcity, attributing the disruption to recent power cuts. The Electricity Company of Ghana has explained that the power cuts are caused by the overheating of cables during the upgrade of distribution lines. The ongoing issues are creating significant inconvenience, with local residents struggling to manage their daily routines, including getting children to school. Efforts are underway to improve the situation by coordinating with power distributors.
