The maiden Ghana-Diaspora Home Purchase Expo, organized by HTS Constructions and sponsored by Nilex Properties, will now be held twice a year instead of annually. The decision follows overwhelming participation, both virtual and in-person, from Ghanaians living abroad in locations such as London, the US, Germany, Canada, and Australia.
The two-day event provided attendees with free legal, investment, and tax advisory services while offering direct interaction with real estate developers showcasing apartments, townhouses, condos, and serviced plots.
Lead organizer Alex Osei-Owusu expressed satisfaction with the success of the expo, themed “Our homes, our investment, our heritage”, saying it exceeded expectations. Based on demand, the event will return mid-year alongside the already-planned December edition.
Osei-Owusu highlighted the convenience of purchasing ready-built apartments over dealing with the challenges of land acquisition and construction, advising Ghanaians abroad to consider investing in completed properties. He further noted plans to take future expos to diaspora hubs like London, Toronto, and Sydney, promoting Ghana as a top destination for real estate investment and economic tourism.
The event also featured the launch of Nilex Properties’ state-of-the-art 19-story luxury apartment block, cementing Ghana’s appeal for modern living options.
