GFA Plans for VAR in Ghana Premier League.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is pushing for the implementation of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system as early as January 2025, according to Alex Kortey, the GFA's Referees Manager. The plan is to roll out VAR in the second round of the Ghana Premier League (GHPL) season. GFA president Kurt Okraku is leading the charge for this technological upgrade to improve officiating standards in the league.Kortey stressed that while the GFA is committed to implementing VAR, the system will not be available at all league venues.
