Zamfara CSO Gives Gov Lawal 14-day Ultimatum To Reinstate Sacked Workers
The Zamfara Civil Society Organisation (ZCSO) has issued a 14-day ultimatum to Governor Dauda Lawal, demanding the reinstatement of recently dismissed workers. The group condemned the mass dismissal of workers as unjust and detrimental to civil service in the state. In a statement on Monday, ZCSO’s Secretary, Kabiru Ahmad Bukuyum, criticised the governor’s decision, arguing that the grounds for the dismissals were insufficient. The workers were reportedly sacked for absenteeism, but Bukuyum asserted that their absence was due to unpaid salaries, not negligence. “The governor’s justification for these suspensions is baseless and unfair. Many of these workers could not report to work because they had not been paid on time. Despite receiving substantial federal allocations, the state government continues to delay salary payments,” Bukuyum said. https://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/ads?gdpr=0&us_privacy=1---&gpp_sid=-1&client=ca-pub-7274163950528935&output=html&h=280&adk=3995832516&adf=3167537780&pi=t.aa~a.2067693828~i.10~rp.4&w=848&abgtt=6&fwrn=4&fwrnh=100&lmt=1743083967&num_ads=1&rafmt=1&armr=3&sem=mc&pwprc=8204113141&ad_type=text_image&format=848x280&url=https%3A%2F%2Fleadership.ng%2Fzamfara-cso-gives-gov-lawal-14-day-ultimatum-to-reinstate-sacked-workers%2F%3Futm_source%3Ddlvr.it%26utm_medium%3Dfacebook%26fbclid%3DIwY2xjawJSNl9leHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHQKEyTwOMVqDp1Lrxe0mrn9rgMT86MEoyMuSY55oJK9tEkqxlCPEJKz1AA_aem_KvmwqPl46zdOaySV5Z9c2w&fwr=0&pra=3&rh=200&rw=847&rpe=1&resp_fmts=3&wgl=1&fa=27&uach=WyJXaW5kb3dzIiwiMTAuMC4wIiwieDg2IiwiIiwiMTM0LjAuNjk5OC4xNzciLG51bGwsMCxudWxsLCI2NCIsW1siQ2hyb21pdW0iLCIxMzQuMC42OTk4LjE3NyJdLFsiTm90OkEtQnJhbmQiLCIyNC4wLjAuMCJdLFsiR29vZ2xlIENocm9tZSIsIjEzNC4wLjY5OTguMTc3Il1dLDBd&dt=1743083943878&bpp=149&bdt=402121&idt=149&shv=r20250324&mjsv=m202503240101&ptt=9&saldr=aa&abxe=1&cookie=ID%3D824c583121367758%3AT%3D1740291607%3ART%3D1743083588%3AS%3DALNI_MZEGkSVVBKhdm1K_zRrb-6Pia46iA&gpic=UID%3D00000ff7aa5f3c9b%3AT%3D1740291607%3ART%3D1743083588%3AS%3DALNI_MZ9Y3qNuKVYCuOxywwAN_Kak7OtXQ&eo_id_str=ID%3D9ed34ee687d5af3b%3AT%3D1740291607%3ART%3D1743083588%3AS%3DAA-AfjZyu4z2YzMjEnJR7N-cFpuu&prev_fmts=0x0%2C1351x641&nras=3&correlator=7885574927248&frm=20&pv=1&u_tz=60&u_his=2&u_h=768&u_w=1366&u_ah=728&u_aw=1366&u_cd=24&u_sd=1&dmc=8&adx=106&ady=1981&biw=1351&bih=641&scr_x=0&scr_y=400&eid=95353929%2C95356498%2C95356506%2C95355300&oid=2&pvsid=3791873595172642&tmod=1513739664&uas=1&nvt=3&ref=https%3A%2F%2Fl.facebook.com%2F&fc=1408&brdim=0%2C0%2C0%2C0%2C1366%2C0%2C1366%2C728%2C1366%2C641&vis=1&rsz=%7C%7Cs%7C&abl=NS&cms=2&fu=128&bc=31&bz=1&td=1&tdf=2&psd=W251bGwsbnVsbCxudWxsLDNd&nt=1&pgls=CAEQBg..&ifi=3&uci=a!3&btvi=1&fsb=1&dtd=23469 He warned that if the government failed to act within 14 days, civil society […]
