ECG Announces Planned Maintenance, Power Outages Expected in Various Regions

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has scheduled planned maintenance works across several regions from March 11-12, 2025, which will result in temporary power outages in certain areas. This maintenance is aimed at improving service delivery.

Affected Areas and Timelines:

Tuesday, March 11, 2025:

  • Volta Region: Power will be cut in Tsito and surrounding areas from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
  • Ashanti Region:
    • 9:00 am to 5:00 pm: Areas including Darko, Bebu, Ampabame No.2, Trede, Sabin Akroform, and parts of Pakyi No.2.
    • 9:00 am to 6:00 pm: Second phase maintenance affecting Atwima Agogo, Abuakwa, Mankranso, Kunsu, Sepaase, Nkawie, Afari, Abakomade, Kasapreko, Nerebehi, and surrounding areas.

Wednesday, March 12, 2025:

  • Greater Accra Region: Power will be interrupted from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in Pokuase Pharmacy, Ayawaso, Nii Ayi, Odumase, Amanfrom, Nsakina, Agbogba, Pantang Royal, and nearby areas.
  • Tema Region: Maintenance will take place from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, affecting High Tension, Golf City, Community 17, Fafali, Cambodia, HFC Estates, and surrounding areas.
  • Central Region: Power outages from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in Yoo Mart, Budumburam, Dr Jesus, Roman, Prisons camp, Nkwantanan, Nyame Adom, Green estate, Everlip, Fetteh Kakraba, and its environs.

ECG’s Assurance:

The ECG has apologized for the inconvenience caused and assured customers that the maintenance is critical for enhancing service reliability. Residents and businesses in the affected areas are advised to plan accordingly.
