A heartwarming moment between the Mahama brothers has gone viral after a video surfaced showing Ibrahim Mahama, a businessman, driving his elder brother, President John Dramani Mahama, during their visit to the Ketu South District. The brothers were in the Volta Region to deliver relief items to victims of the recent tidal wave flooding that devastated the area.
In the footage, Ibrahim is seen behind the wheel of the president’s official vehicle, a gesture that excited many on social media. While some praised Ibrahim’s display of brotherly support, others raised concerns about the safety protocols and appropriateness of the gesture, questioning if it adhered to official guidelines.
During their visit, the Mahama brothers made stops in Amutinu, Salakope, and Agavedzi, where they distributed aid and met with affected families. Ibrahim Mahama also donated GH₵100,000 to the flood victims, a generous contribution that was widely appreciated by the community.
President Mahama took the opportunity to address the flooding issue, acknowledging the poor quality of resettlement projects for flood victims and pledging to allocate funds in the 2025 budget for further sea defense initiatives.
